THE VOICE reacted to the warnings of Hurricane Earl… by taking down the top half of that new rooftop scoreboard he installed on top of the Prognosticator Grill and Cafe last week… the workers and the helicopter pilots didn’t mind… it just meant more money for them.  A member of planning and zoning stopped by and said the Jumbo Rooftop Video Screen was keeping the neighborhood awake AND changing the migratory patterns of a few bird species, so THE VOICE has promised he will consult with the good people at the Audubon Society about that next week…

NIPPLE SHOCK… So, do you think New Englanders are coldly aloof because of the concentration of colleges and private schools in the chilly Northeast?… do you think only dumb things happen in Florida, California, and Texas?
